Acceptable forms of documents to prove age: One of the following, State ID or Drivers License, Passport, Birth Certificate, Voter’s registration card, Military discharge papers, Naturalization papers (form N560) or Consular Service Form (Form FS24)
TEEN COMPETITORS: Must be 16 to 19 years of age for all teen competitors. Bring copy of Proof of age to the weigh-ins for verification.
MENS NOVICE: Competing for the first time or have NOT placed 1st in a NPC sanctioned event. Bring copy of Proof of age to the weigh-ins for verification.
MENS MASTER DIVISIONS: Must be 35 years of age or older. Please bring an id to the weigh-ins to prove your age.
WOMENS MASTER BIKINI & FIGURE: Must be 35 years of age or older. Bring copy of Proof of age to the weigh-ins for verification.

***Competitors are required to have the bottom of their suit on during weight/height check in. All Suit bottoms must be approved of our Head Judge. If you do not have the proper suit requirements you will be disqualified. It is highly suggested you bring alternate suits height check in, just in case your original suit does not meet the requirements.
All competitors must be a current NPC Member in good standing, if you are not a current NPC (National Physique Committee) member, you can sign up at the weigh-in. * * *The nightshow starts at 6:00 pm. It is MANDATORY that each competitor be aware of the time they will be getting on stage (See Schedule of Events for Evening Show below). Failure to appear on time (on stage) at designated time will result in Disqualification. There is a possibility that the evening show can run past 12 midnight (especially for the men’s open physique and women’s open bikini divisions). The evening show FORMAT is subject to change, at the discretion of the Promoter based on the time schedule of the events (based on competitor count). All Overall Division Winners will need to take pictures onstage after the evening show has ended. Pictures will be used for promotional advertising for social media, website, program and poster.

COMPETITOR RULES

◼ Competitors will compete in a two-piece suit. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. No thongs are permitted. Competitors can compete in an off the rack suit. All swimsuits must be in good taste. Athletes will be warned about improper suits and are advised to bring two (2) suits to check in. The fronts of the suits are too low and must be constructed higher. Athletes will be scored down if the suit is not up to standard
◼ Competitors must wear high heels.
◼ Competitors may wear jewelry.
All competitions are permitted to have crossovers at the discretion of the promoter with appropriate approval.

HEIGHT CLASSES

For national level contests that are professional qualifiers:

◼ Up to and including 5’1”
◼ Over 5’1” and up to and including 5’2-1/2”
◼ Over 5’2-1/2” and up to and including 5’4”
◼ Over 5’4” and up to and including 5’5-1/2
◼ Over 5’5-1/2” and up to and including 5’7”
◼ Over 5’7”

STINGREY CLASSIC Bikini Divisions:

Teen Bikini Division:

◼ ONE CLASS ONLY: 16-19 years old

Novice Bikini Division:

Master Bikini Division: 35+ years old

◼ CLASS B: Over 5’4”

Open Bikini Division (National Qualifier):

CHECK-INS

Bikini Division competitors will be checked in and height measured the same as Fitness and Figure competitors. Check in is on April 19, 2018 @ the Sheraton Waikiki, Waianae Ballroom at 5p. Please read general info page for specific times. Suits will be checked by NPC chairman Mark Valencia for approval.

COMPETITION JUDGING

Presentation

Competitors will walk onstage alone and perform their Model Walk (personal preference)
The Model Walk consists of the following:
Walk to the center of the stage, stop and do a front stance – hand(s) on hip front pose – then a full turn and do a back stance – hand(s) on hip back pose -  then turn to the front again – hands on hip -  and face the judges as directed then proceed to the side of the stage.  No lewd acts are permitted. Length of time allowed is 10 seconds.

Comparison Round, Two-Piece Swimsuit:

Competitors will be judged wearing a two-piece swimsuit and heels.
The competitors will be brought back out in a group and directed to do a full front and back stance.
Judges will have the opportunity to compare competitors against each other in half turns. (No side judging permitted, front and back only.)

Scoring

Judges will be scoring competitors using the following criteria:
Balance and Shape
Overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation.

Who Qualifies for Bikini National Level Competitions:

◼ Competitors that place in the top five (5) in each class at national qualifying contests are qualified for the Jr USA, Jr Nationals, Team Universe and North American Championships. Competitors that place in the top three at a national qualifying contest are eligible for the USA and Nationals.
◼ One-year qualification for the top five (5) places in each class at national-level contests previously listed.

COMPETITOR RULES

Check-Ins

Competitors will be checked in and weighed (read “General Information” page). Weigh-ins are on April 19, 2018 at the Sheraton Waikiki Waianae Ballroom at 5p. NPC chairman Mark Valencia will be inspecting your posing trunks at the weigh-ins for approval.


POSING SUITS

All suit bottoms must be V-shaped, no thongs are permitted.
Suits worn by male competitors at the prejudging and finals must be plain in color with no fringe, wording, sparkle or fluorescents.
All Prejudging suits will be checked at the morning check-in.
Competitors are not permitted to alter the fit of the posing suit by hiking it up in the back or by pulling up the sides during Front and Rear Lat Spreads.


POSING MUSIC

Posing music will be used at the Finals
Posing music must not be longer than 60 SECONDS
Posing music must be emailed to stingreyclassic@gmail.com by April 13, 2018. Include your name, division entering, start music on or off stage on the subject line of your email (i.e. Rey Ronquilio, Open Bodybuilding, Start ON stage). A $50 late fee will be charged if music is turned in late. Only the 60 second music should be emailed (do not email the whole song or any other music)
Posing music must not contain vulgar lyrics. Competitors using music containing vulgar lyrics will be disqualified.


ONSTAGE

During the Prejudging no use of jewelry onstage other than a wedding band.
No glasses, props or gum are permitted onstage.
Lying on the floor is prohibited.
Bumping and shoving is prohibited. First and second persons involved will be disqualified.
Competitor numbers will be worn on the left side of the suit bottom.


BACKSTAGE

Competitors will be able to purchase 1 backstage coaches pass for $100 (ONLY 1 person backstage per competitor). This can be purchased during your online registration. Coaches’ pass includes entrance to the backstage to assist your competitor during prejudging and the night show with entrance to prejudging (open seating). TICKETS FOR NIGHT SHOW SEATING MUST BE PURCHASED SEPERATLY.


COMPETITORS HEALTH

Any competitor who appears to be disoriented, light-headed or experiences undue cramping will not be permitted to compete.
Any competitor disqualified for health reasons must be checked by the attending EMT and if it is advised by the EMT, must go to the nearest hospital for evaluation.
Competitors who refuse to be evaluated by the EMT or at the hospital will be suspended from competition for a period of one year from the date of the occurrence.

Super Heavyweight – Over 225 ¼

Male Welterweight Class for USA and National Championships
Bantamweight: 143-1/4 lbs. & under
Lightweight: over 143-1/4 lbs. to & including 154-1/4 lbs
* Welterweight over 154-1/4 lbs. to & including 165-1/4 lbs
Middleweight: over 165-1/4 lbs. up to & including 176-1/4 lbs

THE PREJUDGING POSING ROUNDS FOR MALE AND FEMALE COMPETITORS

Judges will score competitors according to the NPC “total package” which is a balance of size, symmetry and muscularity.
Relaxed Round
Keep your feet flat
Keep your heels together
Hold your arms at your sides
No twisting
Your head must be facing the same direction as your feet.
Individual Round
Begin when ready – no signal is necessary from the Head Judge.
Maximum of 60 seconds with a warning when 10 seconds remain.
You are not obligated to use all 60 seconds.
Lying on the floor is not permitted.

Figure division competitors will be checked in and measured on April 19, 2018 @ the Sheraton Waikiki, Waianae Ballroom at 5p. Read the General Info page for specific details. NPC chairman Mark Valencia will be checking your posing suits for approval.


COMPETITION JUDGING


Presentation:
◼ Competitors will walk to the center of the stage alone and perform quarter (1/4) turns, face the judges as directed then proceed to the side of the stage.

Comparison Round – Two Piece Swimsuit:
◼ Competitors will be judged wearing a two-piece swimsuit and high heels
◼ The competitors will be brought back out in a group and directed to do quarter turns
◼ Judges will have the opportunity to compare competitors against each other in quarter turns.

Scoring – Judges will be scoring competitors using the following criteria:
◼ Small degree of muscularity with separation, no visible striations
◼ Overall muscle tone with shapely lines, overall firmness and not excessively lean
◼ Full general assessment
◼ Healthy appearance
◼ Make-up
◼ Skin tone

Who qualifies for Figure National level Competitions:

Competitors that place in the top three (3) in each class at national qualifying contests qualify for the USA and National Championships.
◼ One-year qualification for the top five (5) places in each class at national-level contests previously listed.

MEN’S CLASSIC PHYSIQUE

◼ The National Physique Committee announces the creation of a new division called Men’s Classic Physique. Competition will take place in the following categories:

Mandatory Poses

The Judging is scored 100% and will consist of comparisons of the quarter turns and the following “5” mandatory poses: ◼ Front Double Biceps
Side Chest
Back Double Biceps
Abdominals and Thighs
Favorite Classic Pose (No Most Muscular)

JUDGING FINALS

The Finals will consist of:
  • Posing Routine (up to maximum of 60 seconds)
  • Confirmation round  (if necessary)
  • Posedown (overall title only)


COMPETITION WEAR

Competitors are required to wear posing shorts. You are “NOT” to wear board shorts or Bodybuilding posing trunks. We have provided an image of the NPC Competition Classic Physique shorts below. Competitors are required to wear the same type of cut and all shorts that are worn in competition must be black.

CROSSOVERS
In 2018 NPC Classic Physique Athletes will be allowed to crossover and compete in additional divisions. This way you can choose where you currently fit the best.


Qualifying For NPC National Contests
In order to compete at a National contest in 2018, for the Jr USA and JR Nationals, an athlete must have competed in any NPC Contest. For all other Nationals shows including the Universe, Teen Collegiate Masters, USA, North American and Nationals an athlete must have competed in a NPC Classic Physique event. No other qualifications are required.
Qualifying For IFBB Pro Status
For 2018 only, the top two in each height class at all National contests will qualify for pro status

STINGREY CLASSIC MEN’S OPEN CLASSIC PHYSIQUE DIVISION:
Novice Classic Physique Division:
One Class Only
Open Master Men’s Classic Physique Division 35+ (National Qualifier):
CLASS A: Up to and including 5’9” + Up to and including 190 lbs.
CLASS B: Over 5’9” + over 190 lbs.
Open Men’s Classic Physique Division (National Qualifier):
CLASS A: Up to and including 5’7” + Up to and including 175 lbs.
CLASS B: Over 5’7” up to and including 5'10" + up to and including 182 lbs to 197 lbs.
CLASS C: Over 5’10” + up to and including 205 lbs to 275 lbs.


CHECK-INS

Men Classic Physique Division competitors will be height and weight checked on April 19, 2018 @ the Sheraton Waikiki Waianae Ballroom at 5p (read the general info page for specific details). NPC Chairman Mark Valencia will be checking your posing trunks for approval so make sure to bring it during weigh-ins.

NPC MEN’S PHYSIQUE DIVISION


NPC MEMBERSHIP

● Each competitor must be a member of the NPC.

Judging Criteria:
● Muscularity and Body Condition
Judges will be looking for fit contestants who display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity should be marked down.

Stage Presence and Personality
Contestants will be asked to walk in board shorts (shorts must be just above the knee in length and can be one inch below the belly button, no spandex and no logos are permitted on the board shorts however a manufacturer’s logo such as Nike symbol or Billabongs are acceptable.) Competitors will enter the stage without a shirt and barefoot. No lewd acts allowed for example the moon pose. Judges are looking for the contestant with the best stage presence and poise, who can successfully convey his personality to the audience.


COMPETITION JUDGING

Presentation:
Competitors will walk to the center of the stage alone and perform front and back turns with optional pose of hand on hip or hand in pocket, finishing facing the judges as directed then proceed to the side of the stage.

Comparison Round:
The competitors will be brought back out in a group and directed to do turns.
Judges will have the opportunity to compare competitors against each other in turns.

Who Qualifies for National Level Men’s Physique Competitions:
◼ For 2018, the top three (3) in a national qualifying Men’s Physique contest will be qualified for the NPC USA and NPC National Championships.  The top five (5) will qualify for all other national contests including the NPC Junior USA, NPC Junior National, NPC Team Universe and IFBB North American Championships. At a non-qualifying contest, no athletes are qualified for a national contest.
◼ One-year qualification for the top five (5) places in each class at national-level contests previously listed.
